What should I wear for a Bromo Sunrise Tour?

The average temperature in Bromo varies depending on the season and time of day. Generally, the temperature ranges from 10°C to 15°C during the day and can drop to 3°C to 9°C at night. During the dry season (May to September), temperatures can reach up to 20°C during the day and drop to around 5°C to 10°C at night. In the wet season (October to April), temperatures are slightly cooler.It’s always a good idea to bring warm clothing.

What is the best season to visit Mount Bromo?

The dry season (April to October) is generally considered the best time to visit due to clearer skies and less rain. The rainy season (November to March) can offer unique experiences with dramatic clouds and fog. But, however, weather patterns are becoming increasingly unpredictable due to the effects of global climate change.

Day 01 :

Probolinggo - Bromo Jeep Sunrise tour - Tumpak sewu village

A comfortable private car with enough space for all your luggage and an experienced friendly driver will pick you up at your hotel in Probolinggo. In about 1,5 hours you will drive to Cemara Lawang village where a Jeep is waiting to bring you to mount Pananjakan. You can leave your luggage safely in your private car.
Mount Pananjakan is one of the highest viewpoints in the area. Have a warming cup of coffee or tea, and if you like a local snack, before you choose your spot at the viewpoint.
It can be cold at the viewpoint; between 0 and 10 degrees Celsius. Bring some warm clothes.
Walk the last 150 m to the viewpoint when the sun is about to rise. Be ready for the ever changing colors in the sky. The weather conditions determine the scenery.
When the sun has risen and you have warmed up, meet your Jeep-driver. Your tour continues to the sea of sand. You will have to cross this sea in the caldera to get near mount Bromo.
Bromo is an active volcano. It only takes 45 min to hike to the top. Take your time to experience...
Once back at the Jeep, you will return to Cemara Lawang to change back to your comfortable car. Your journey to Tumpak sewu starts. Keep in mind that it is a long drive of about 4 hours, depending on traffic conditions, On the way we will visit Malang colourful village for a break.

Day 02 :

Morning Semeru view landscape - Explore Tumpak sewu - Malang/Surabaya drop

Start early your day at 05.00 with our driver ride through small, charming villages. As you drive, you will have the chance to see the impressive lava flow from Mount Semeru, which is a truly amazing sight. After this exciting adventure

Next, get ready to explore the beautiful Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. The waterfalls are tall, and the area is surrounded by green plants, making it a great experience. You can take your time to admire the cascading waters and take some memorable photos.

After exploring Tumpak Sewu, you will continue your journey to Malang/Surabaya. It's a perfect way to end your exciting day.

Day 1:
01:30: Hotel pickup in Probolinggo
01:30 – 03:00: Drive to Cemara Lawang village
03:00 – 03:15: Arrival at Cemara Lawang. Switch to a Jeep and leave your luggage safely in our private car.
03:15 – 03:30: Drive to Mount Pananjakan, one of the highest viewpoints in the area.
03:30 – 03:45: Enjoy a warming cup of coffee or tea and a local snack. Prepare for the viewpoint.
03:45 – 04:00: Walk the last 150 meters to the viewpoint.
04:00 – 06:00: See the changing colors in the sky as the sun rises. The weather conditions determine the scenery, so be prepared for a breathtaking view.
06:00 – 06:30: Meet your Jeep driver and continue the tour to the Sea of Sand.
Cross the volcanic black Sea of Sand in the caldera to get near Mount Bromo.
06:30 – 08:30: Hike to the top of the active volcano, Mount Bromo (approximately 45 minutes). Take your time to experience the unique landscape.
08:30 – 09:00: Return to the Jeep and head back to Cemara Lawang.
09:00 – 10:00: Breakfast then Switch back to your comfortable car. Start your journey to Tumpak sewu.
10:00 – 12:00: Visit colourful village in Malang
14:00 – 16:00: Arrival in a village nearTumpak sewu. Hotel check in and Rest.

Day 2:
05:00 Morning village tour. Head towards Mount Semeru to see view the magnificent lava flow at the top.
06:00 – 07:00 Lava Flow Viewing: Spend time admiring the incredible sight of the lava flow from Mount Semeru. Capture some amazing photos and take in the breathtaking views.
07:00 – 08:00 Return to Hotel for Breakfast: Head back to your hotel and enjoy breakfast. Check out from your hotel.
08:00 – 11:00 Start your adventure to Tumpak sewu waterfalls.
11:00 – 12:00 Lunch break and Packing.
12:00 – 14:30 Drive to your next destination. Tour end .
