You will be picked up at your hotel or at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya. Around 09:00 is a good time to start.
It is a 3 to 4 hours drive to Cemara Lawang village. After Probolinggo you will be heading into the mountains.
After about 2 hours it is time to stretch you legs and to visit the Madakaripura waterfalls. These enchanting waterfalls are important and holy to the Tenggerese people (suku Tengger) in several rituals.
When you meet your driver again, you continue to Cemara Lawang. Explore this village; the local market, wander through farm fields, and enjoy the mountain views.

At 03:00 your 4wd Jeep is ready to depart to Pananjakan. With its 2702 m it is among the highest viewpoints in the area. Weather conditions order the colors in the sky and dye the view at mount Bromo.
When the sun has risen, you will be heading by Jeep to the Sea of Sand. Cross the marvelous moonlike landscape. This grey-greyish landscape is 10 km in diameter. An impressive piece of art.
The Jeep will park near the Hindu Luhur Poten temple. Most often it is closed, but you can take a look while walking by. It is a 45 min walk one way to the top of the active volcano Bromo.
When you are set to go, you will meet your driver. He will bring you back to your hotel.
Have breakfast and enjoy a refreshing shower before checking out. Then you will be heading back to Surabaya. We can drop you either at your hotel or at the airport.
