Monthly allowances

It is very simple. We - Imam and Agus & Martine - have "enough" and would like to do something for those who definitely haven't. Can't be simpler.
Smartine Indonesia Travel donates a certain percentage of every tour and Imam searches monthly for sponsors.

Mrs. Teteh receives monthly an allowanceMrs. Teteh of course is a housewife, as almost all Indonesian women with children. But, as her husband's health is letting him down, she also has the responsability to look for some extra income.
If possible, her husband is a parking attendant at the public hospital just behind the kampong. Or, he deliverd goods. Or, he works in a garage. Whatever is available.
She takes care of baby's when she is asked too. For a month with irregular shift she earns about IDR 150,000 or USD 12. For washing a big basket of laundry she earns about IDR 40,000 (USD 2.80). Another side job is cleaning houses.

Their children aren't yet in the position to earn a living. Besides, Mrs. Teteh and her husband prefer to educate their children. They attend the junior and senior high school.

Indonesian health system and Mrs. Teteh and her family

Mrs. Teteh her husband is sick. Probably he often suffers from pulmonary edema. As a diagnosis often isn't clear, we aren't sure from what disease he is suffering. He used to be a strong man, but since he is often sick he has become a skinny man.
General health care is lacking far behind compared to Western systems. Unfortunately local herbal medicine knowledge seems to disappear. These two developments leave people as Mrs. Teteh and her family in distress as they don't have access to knowledgeable doctors or affordable medicines.
On the other hand, president Jokowi is improving health care in Indonesia in a constructive way. Unrolling a system in a country as large as Indonesia takes time and endurance.
