From the moment we were picked up, Mull made us feel like VIPs. His driving skills were impeccable (and trust me, East Java's roads can be an adventure in themselves!), and he always made sure we were comfortable and safe. Going up the road to Kawah Ijen at 2:00 AM takes a lot of skill.

We woke up early for all three of the destinations, to catch the sunrise, and the way everything was planned out was impeccable.

Mull also took us to see parts of the local culture we would otherwise never get to see, and also introduced us to local food and local fruits, all the way until he sent us on our way back to Bali via the ferry.

He was especially accomodating to my son, and I am very happy we spent the holiday with him sheparding us each day. Highly recommended.

Because our time at Tumpak Sewu was so great, we decided to continue our adventure with Didik for a 2-day, 1-night trip to Mount Bromo and Mount Ijen. Once again, he exceeded our expectations. The sunrise at Bromo and the blue fire at Ijen were unforgettable experiences, made even better by having such a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic guide with us.
